things are well here-riding a cool wave after quite a bit of press here in syracuse and abroad!! my cds has been selling of late--- couple here and there and they are selling all across the world which is too cool!! times are very tough and its a struggle for us all financially--hope economy gets better here in states---seems a bit slower here at imusic these days???--not sure why--im still here and im spreading my wings as much as possible wherevere i can--the band has really been tearing up--very happy with progress--hope all of you are well and i hope to be around!! you are all friends!! mark |

http://www.myprgenie.com/item/1124/ read if you can i will be interviewed by a syracuse music writer today at 11 am new york time--will speaking about jc carroll's new album "new english blues" and the whole concept of collabing--nigel potter and rob grant also played on the album! i will mention sites such as imusicscene and soundclick and how they allow musicians to come together and create great music! i will give an actual demonstration on my primitive recording techniques--should be cool and when it comes out in print--will definitly let you all know! will also mention many collabs i have been involved in and other albums i have played on! should be fun--wish me well!! mark |

want to thank all for your support listening-reviews-comments--all that stuff--imusicscene has basically kept me interested in this indie www.com stuff--- its a tough battle deciding whether to do this all just for fun or to take it serious and try to make a mark in this crazy music world-its time consuming and my wife wants results--lol---i released a cd on cd baby and very happy about it--did as well as could expect-sold a few copies to some friends and some people across the world i do not know--it was put in category of top indie cds--not sure it means anything but still cool----going to distribute some to local music stores and maybe sell a few at gigs with band members blessings anyways--i freaking hate self promotion makes me sick to my stomach--my buddy bob nadeau may take over that department--been working wth him for some time--he has an online music store nadeaumusic@aol.net check it out--he is really cool :) the band(double barrel blues band-may have to tweak that name as someone else here in the states has it)) is doing great-very happy with our sound--im singing with more and more confidence--john is singing his **** off--we offer very different styles--garnett and bill are locking in on the rythmn section--shaping up to be a good festival summer-maybe i will see one or two of ya out there!! having a blast! finally,i have finished my second indie cd--had alot of guitar ideas and what not bottled up for sometime--this one will be it for a while--gonna concentrate on doing double barrel album next--maybe make a trip to bri-an's studio!!!shall see---- my cd is called 6 strings of passion--again featuring a few tracks from loren risker---i carried over a few from previous cd to round out the cd--goint to distribute to colleges,radio stations and some review magazines for shits and giggles by way of cd baby --thats it for now!!! cheers |
