I am a 57 year old hobbyist musician, who came out of a 20+ year musical retirement......Thanks to the world of computers and modern recording technology. I enjoy finding and listening to new music, as much as I do playing. I suppose, working in record stores, for 12 years, has allot to say about my LOVE for listening. There was nothing I enjoyed more then, than breaking new artists. In those days....we "pushed" new artists and took pride in our new artist sales. SO!! Listening and reviewing here, brings me back to those days.....and I LOVE IT!!!

I am primarily a bass player, but love fooling with all instruments. I was never a song writer nor a vocalist in the band days. I couldn't play and sing at the same time and I didn't write, because I couldn't get my ideas across. SO!!! Again!! Thanks to technology, I can build songs, just the way I want them to be and to the best of my personal ability.......which......is limited to my ability. Instead of "it is what is"......"I can only do what I can do"

My collabs have become a HUGE part of my enjoyment, as it allows me to play with those who have better abilities, to help produce a better song.

ANYWAY!!! I am LOVING LIFE, as "they" say, having all of you in my musical world. THANK YOU!! and THANKS to those of you who choose to share your music. I make many CD's for my personal enjoyment.................and this gives me a chance to really enjoy your music in a more enjoyable atmosphere......my truck.

Thank you Rob, for the wonderful reviews..I have much to learn, on recording..I ran into a snag on my computer and have been on the phone with Apple support...I just learned a bit on copy, and paste, and to get sound out of both speakers...Ohhhh Noooo HELP!!! After @ hours on the phone, I now need a break..lol

Rob We were on the old mix. I thought i'd lost the mix faithful until I found it 2 weeks ago. things have gone completely mad on here since then. I am having a new lease of life. I thought i recognised the name. just listening to All washed out. you are certainly not that. you are sounding top notch.

Suspiciuos acts is an awesome piece. I hear the genisis link but as a stand alone track, the guitar is perfectly mixed with the strings backing it up. There is something very well polished about the synth, I like this a lot, I can hear a great vocal over this at somepoint. that bass is great too ,comes in late and drives it along. great stuff. And thanks for your words about our tracks, don't be a stranger, i will stop by again here.

Hey Rob! I posted this on Mike K's front page blog but also thought a post here was in order :o) Hi Mike! I wasn't able to catch the show or Rob's CSP (scheduled gig) but I did download it and listened this morning. It was a great show and Rob's CSP was fabously interesting!!!!!!!!!! He does have some historical rock roots, from the lip sync band as a kid, to Disco, to Prog Rock! I feel fortunate to be included in some of his collabs as do many others I'm sure. Even though I wasn't there to chat and listen live, I got it on the flip flop. Great show Mike K and Rob!! Farrell
